Valentine’s Movie Night is coming up this Friday February 3^rd!

Doors open at 6 with the movie starting at 6:30.

CONTESTS include:
Bring the movie home on DVD! ($1 a ticket)
VIP seating area – winner can choose any friends to join them! (50 cents a ticket)

Pizza, popcorn, candy and drinks will be available at reasonable prices.

Attention Students! Need to work on your Study Skills before exams?

Together with the school, the SMS Parent Guild will be offering a Study Skills course on Saturday January 7^th from 9am-12 noon. This course is targeted to students writing exams for the first time, but all students from Gr. 8-12 are welcome to attend.

Learning Styles
How do I study?
- What do I focus on?
- MORE THAN READING
- Study Aids & Memory Tricks

Snacks will be provided! Please bring a water bottle and writing supplies.

There is NO CHARGE to attend. To reserve a spot, a sign-up sheet is available in the high school office. Grade 8 parents – watch for a form that will be going home this week. Parents are welcome (but not required) to stay.

$3.00 for a 12 oz. smoothie (3 flavours)

Mark your calendar for Halloween Movie Night on Friday, October 28^th in the gym! Proceeds will go to new playground equipment for the students to use at recess (basketballs, soccer balls, etc.). Details to follow.
