Doors open at 6 with the movie starting at 6:30.

Attention Students! Need to work on your Study Skills before exams?

Together with the school, the SMS Parent Guild will be offering a Study Skills course on Saturday January 7^th from 9am-12 noon. This course is targeted to students writing exams for the first time, but all students from Gr. 8-12 are welcome to attend.

Topics that will be covered include:

• Organizing Your Time
• Organizing Your Binder
• Your Study Environment
• Learning Styles
• How do I study?
  • What do I focus on?
  • MORE THAN READING
  • Study Aids & Memory Tricks
  • Studying: My Style
• Study Breaks
• Study Food
• Test Anxiety
• Tips for Writing Tests

Snacks will be provided! Please bring a water bottle and writing supplies.

There is NO CHARGE to attend. To reserve a spot, a sign-up sheet is available in the high school office. Grade 8 parents – watch for a form that will be going home this week. Parents are welcome (but not required) to stay.

Christmas Movie Night

Please bring a pillow/blanket to sit on during the movie. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
